This program helps parents develop the skills they need to raise happy, healthy and resilient children.
We welcome families from all backgrounds, especially those with young children.
Our Children and Parenting programs can help families in different ways.
Home visits and community outreach: CatholicCare NT can provide “in home” parenting support and education. We work with you to identify issues that could impact your children or family. We can provide support and referrals to help you with these issues before they escalate. Where available, we can also help transport you and your family to activities, playgroups and appointments.
Parent education: Our parenting education groups focus on child development. They help to build parenting skills and knowledge. For more information on parenting education and groups click here.
Peer support groups: Peer support groups let you link you in with other families in the same stage of life. These peer supports include groups for mothers and babies, primary school parents and single fathers.
Children and youth counselling: Counselling is available for children, young people and families. These sessions are tailored to your needs. For more information on counselling click here.
